It’s tempting yes, to tell ourselves that our presentations succeed or fail on the merits of their content. And while there’s bound to be more than a modicum of truth in that belief, appearances, or how a presentation looks aesthetically can change the way we perceive that content. The difference between ‘thought-out’ and ‘slap-dash’ may not hinge on your specific font choice, but nonetheless, a well-composed presentation can broadcast that the ideas therein are well-considered, and well, worth considering.
